Ideally, we’d all have time to do our makeup every morning if we wanted to makeup artists. But this isn’t always possible between work, kids, and everything else life throws at us.
However, just because you’re in a hurry doesn’t mean you have to skip makeup altogether. You need a new strategy. Here are five tips to help you get ready in the morning, according to makeup artists.
Organize Your Makeup Bag Makeup Artists
It’s quicker to pack if you know where everything is. So start by organizing your makeup collection. Get rid of any dead or unused cosmetics.
Then, put your cosmetics in different drawers or organizers, separating your work look from your evening look. This way, you won’t have to dig through smoky eye makeup palettes when wearing light neutrals and beating rush hour traffic makeup artists.
Organize Your Shopping the Night Before
Another option is to lay out your clothes the night before, explains Brittany Lo, professional makeup artist and founder of Beia. “The more you can do ahead of time to prepare for future boot camps, the better quickly.
It does require some prep work, but if my space is organized and my products are easy to access, I can get ready much faster. Sometimes, if I know I’ll be in a hurry, I’ll prepare all my groceries so I can quickly go from one thing to the next and worry about putting them away later.”
Start with the eyes
Makeup artist Ashley Gomila tells me you’ll save time by doing your eye makeup before you apply foundation or anything else. ”
Starting with eye makeup, you keep a clean slate for later primer and foundation application. If you apply your eyes last, the process can slow down due to eyeshadow falling off or smudging.”
Avoid time-consuming foods
Gomila advises you not to do anything too complicated or technical, like a winged eyeliner, if you’re in a hurry. The Law suggests avoiding dark colours because they can take a while to blend makeup artists. ”
If I’m in a hurry, I tend to go for the most straightforward application that I can apply without worrying about perfection,” says Lo.
Choose a more straightforward option.
There are quick and slow ways to do things. For example, Law recommends ditching liquid eyeliner and using a soft pencil instead. Contouring is another thing that can take some time, but that doesn’t mean an alternative can’t give you a similar look. ”
Instead of contouring, use self-tanning drops and setting spray for a natural glow. If you have the time, you can use a self-tanner to contour your face the night before and wash it off in the morning.”
Learn the Five-Minute Makeup Routine
Remember, makeup isn’t all or nothing. Sometimes makeup artists, a few key products can help you look your best. If you tend to do your entire face of makeup, try a quick version that you can do in just five minutes.
Focus on simple application techniques that significantly impact a five-minute makeup routine. “Lash curls and quick mascara applications are especially effective when you want a big effect in a short amount of time,” says Gomila.
Gomila’s quick routine: She curls her lashes, applies mascara and fluffs, fills her brows, and finishes with brow gel. She then applies some concealer and tinted moisturizer in a damp Beauty Blender. Finally, she completes the look with a bold lipstick you can always use on the go makeup artists.
Lo has a similar approach but says it’s okay to skip browse if you’re in a hurry. “If you can put on concealer, blush, mascara, and lipstick, it looks like you’re self-grooming. This will smooth out your skin tone, add colour, instantly brighten your eyes, and create a noticeable transformation makeup artists.”
